Allen & Rocks, Inc. Volunteer at The Veterans Stand Down and Homeless Resource Day
The Veterans Stand Down and Homeless Resource Day offers ONE STOP easy access to community services that include, medical and dental services, onsite application for benefits for the Department of Veterans Affairs, mental health assessments and counseling, onsite application for Social Security Administration and Department of Social Services benefits, FREE photo ID cards from the Motor Vehicle Administration and Free ID cards for children (with fingerprints) from the Maryland Park and Planning Commission, in addition to several other services.
This event was for individuals and families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. There were Veteran specific services offered as well.
Allen and Rocks, Inc. offered their services as Service Navigators, prepared goodie bags, assisted at the clothing table and donated gift cards, toiletries, first aid kits, clothes, jackets, shoes and food.
