The Property Management Association’s Apartment Community Excellence (PACE) Awards 2025
The Evergreens at Laurel Celebrated as a Leading Apartment Community
Bethesda, MD: The Evergreens at Laurel Apartments has been honored as one of the region’s top apartment communities in the Fourteenth Annual Property Management Association (PMA) Apartment Community Excellence (PACE) Awards.
Often described as the apartment industry’s equivalent of the Academy Awards, the PACE Awards recognize communities that excel across a wide range of criteria. Independent judges evaluate each property on management and operations, maintenance standards, curb appeal, interior and common-area presentation, amenities, and—above all—the ability to deliver an exceptional resident experience.
The 2025 PACE Awards drew more than 200 entries representing a diverse mix of communities, from long-established properties to newly developed lease-ups. To ensure a fair competition, PMA categorizes entries by property type (affordable, senior, market-rate or lease-up), geographic location (Washington, D.C., Maryland or Virginia), year built and average rent.
The Evergreens at Laurel Apartments distinguished itself as a leader within its category, demonstrating a strong commitment to resident satisfaction and an unwavering focus on creating a high-quality living environment.
Thomas B. Cohn, Executive Vice President of PMA, underscored the prestige of the program: “PACE is not just a contest of curb appeal or a broad recognition program. It is a rigorous evaluation that identifies extraordinary properties that stand out as the best of the best, showcasing their dedication to operational excellence and world-class customer service.”
Additional honors in the program included the Distinguished Community designation for properties earning a score of 90% or higher without winning their category, the Judge’s Choice Award for communities that impressed individual judges, and the coveted Best in Show title, awarded to the highest-scoring community overall.
